Random thoughts about Tomorrow’s Events

So tomorrow will be the State of the Nation Address, and I was hoping that there will be no classes. And a genie popped right in front of me! Kidding aside, I don’t know if it was PGMA’s decision that there are no classes or because it is going to rain hard tomorrow. :P

If you go to that link above, it will show you an article about SONA, which the United Opposition said to be the same old speech, only revised to look new and original.

SONA is ‘Same Old Nonsense from Administration’ said the opposition. Although I am not a big fan of Pres. Gloria, I’d rather listen to her than make protests and rallies. Why? Because it won’t do anything! And of course, those people who will be against the administration will either be kidnapped, or killed. That is my view, but if you have a different opinion, it’s alright.

Another thing, about this SONA thingy, I hope she will work hard after that speech. SONA is like having campaigns before elections, you keep on promising to other people so that many will believe and support you. But afterwards, you forget about those promises. Siguro ang motto ng politicians, “Promises are made to be broken..” I’m not generalizing, maybe some are honest enough to make those promises a reality.

Reality Check: If our president won’t be doing those objectives, then everyone will experience poverty. It isn’t so nice to have no money, right? And most of all, it is not them who will experience those hardships. WE, the YOUTH, the NEXT GENERATION, will go through those. Now, are you excited of the future if she won’t keep those promises? I hope not, chances are, you and me wouldn’t be living a good life.

So, here’s what you have to do. Listen to her. But if you see that things aren’t doing so well, and that she did not keep up with her promises, speak up! Nothing is wrong with being right.
